Hot die steels are forged using forging deformation quenching, and the resulting reinforced structure is retained during high temperature tempering and quenching and tempering of the final heat treatment, making the steel hot, impact toughness, strength limit, yield limit , fatigue limit and resistance to plastic deformation have been improved. At the same time, the notch sensitivity of the steel is reduced, the fracture toughness of the steel is improved, and the service life of the mold is greatly improved.
1. Hot work die steel is machinability and is well-ground:
Machinability and abrasiveness are all superior to those of SKD11, so the machining tool has a longer life and less processing time.
2. The advantages of hot die steel on heat treatment:
The quench hardening energy is higher than that of SKD11, so the defect of insufficient hardness in vacuum heat treatment can be improved.
3. On-line cutting processing advantages:
The use of high-temperature tempering can reduce the residual stress and eliminate residual ferrite, and can prevent cracking and deformation of the wire cutting process.
4. Advantages in surface hardening treatment:
Hot die steel surface hardness after hardening than SKD11, it can improve the mold performance.
5. Advantages in repair welding operations:
Since the preheating and post-heating temperatures are all lower than those of SKD11, the repair welding operation is relatively simple.
